The importance of English Idioms

English Idioms cotribute a great deal to the richness of your vacabulary.
Each idiom should be added to your vacabulary as a new word.



1. Blow hot and cold (about something) ( Eng: Meaning:- Keep changing one's opinion (about s/th)

2. Like a fish out of water ( Eng: Meaning:- A person who feels uncomfortable or awkwart because he/she is in a strange surrunding)

3."Born with a silver spoon in one's mouth" ----------(Eng: Meaning :-A person Who Rich in born) [ Sinhala Meaning :-upathinma danawath kenek]



4. "Play a deep game"-------[sinhala meaning :- wanchasahagatha lesa katauthu karanawa.].


5. "When the cat is away, the mice will play"[Lula nethi walata kanaya pandithaya].
